Atlassian Guard License Exceed Limit

Hi!

I would like to learn more regarding Atlassian Guard. My current org environment Atlassian Guard has exceed license limit. May I know what is the impact for this. The billing will be on July 2025.

Currently we have 950/900 for Atlassian guard. but both Confluence and Jira still below the license capacity.

If you’re on a monthly plan, on the date you’re billed, you’ll be billed for 950 users.
If you’re on an Annual plan, you’ll be quoted for the next tier of annual plan when renewing, maybe 950 or 1000 users.

You can reduce your bill by:

1. Removing users from product access in your sites/org. You can also do this by suspending or deactivating users with product access.

2. Adding users to your External User authentication policy, which is non-billable.

50 users isn’t too hard to do manually, but you could also try using a marketplace app to help keep your user count under control and keep out any undesirable users. I’d recommend the Admin Automations app, because it’s great and because I build it 😁.
