Can't connect to GSuite

Paul Harsha November 24, 2020

When I try to connect my Confluence instance to GSuite I get an error 400: admin_policy_enforced

Searching tells me I need to set up SAML, but that doesn't make sense given Atlassian's documentation.. Am I missing something obvious?

Hi Paul,

It looks like you don't have sufficient administrator privileges in your Google Workspace. Your Atlassian Cloud instance can't connect with your Google credentials because of that. You might want to check your Google Workspace settings, or contact your Google Workspace administrator if you have one, and have them do the setup.

It turned out to be more subtle than that. You have to go to Google Services and make sure your permissions are set up so that 'Admin' and 'Drive' are not restricted.

I found instructions to fix it here:
