Remove offboarded domain accounts when looking at claimable accounts.

Ben Moseley August 5, 2025

In my managed accounts section I downloaded a csv so I can view all accounts that can be claimed. I see users that are no longer with the company that are still claimable and the csv says they're still "Active". However they do not exist in my Atlassian instance any longer.  Is there a way to remove them from being potentially claimable as part of my off-boarding process?

Hi @Ben Moseley

Welcome to the community!

User accounts remain claimable if their Atlassian accounts are still active on your verified domain—even if they’re no longer in your organization. To remove them, disable or delete their Atlassian account. Once deactivated, they’ll no longer appear as claimable.

Hope this helps!

Kind Regards
Utkarsh

Thank you Utkarsh for the quick reply!  I am confused because I do not see their account anywhere in the managed accounts.

When the user left I deactivated their account so that we would have the seat available.

This was last year that I deactivated their account.

It is only when I use the spreadsheet to see available accounts for claiming (the spreadsheet export) that I am seeing this user.

Is there another area I should be looking to remove their atlassian account?

Thank you again!
