Announcing some under-the-hood improvements to Rovo agents

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share some significant improvements we’ve rolled out to Rovo agents. These updates are all about making your experience faster, smarter, and more reliable.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Faster performance: We’ve reduced latency by stripping out unnecessary optimizations, so agents respond more quickly.

  • Smarter agents: Instruction following is sharper, and action selection is more accurate—meaning agents are better at understanding and executing your requests.

  • Increased capacity: Agents can now select more actions per session, thanks to a higher max iteration limit. This means they can handle more complex workflows without breaking a sweat.

  • Enhanced memory: Agents now remember previously invoked actions within the same conversation (up to the last 20 messages), making multi-step tasks smoother and more context-aware.

These changes make Rovo Agents more responsive, reliable, and capable of handling even your most complex workflows. We’re looking forward to seeing how these under-the-hood improvements help you get more done, faster.

As always, your feedback is invaluable—let us know how these updates are working for you!

Thanks,
Jensen

Please note... you won't see any visual changes, just potential changes in how the agent responds.

Hi @Jensen Fleming

thank you for these updates and letting us know :) We will check if that helps us with any use cases that failed so far.

We also struggle with understanding how models are chosen - we feel like the same request is sometimes processed by different llms and that tampers the results. Some agents need to be more deterministic than others. Having some form of setting that changes the behaviour of one model or at least gives us the option to "fix" the model (we don't always need the most expensive one ;) )
