Error adding Gmail to Rovo

I have followed the instructions provided here and have all the requisite permissions, but I am still getting an error "error adding GMail to Rovo Search". 

Are there logs somewhere that might have a little more information about why it's failing? Anyone else resolve this issue?

Hey @Christian Holton 

Sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue connecting Rovo to Gmail. Rovo does not currently expose detailed logs for connector failures via the UI. For now, the best next step is to submit a support ticket so the Atlassian team can investigate backend logs and help resolve the issue.

Here are some troubleshooting steps:

 

  • Connector Permissions: Ensure the Gmail connector was authorized using an account with access to the relevant mailbox or shared inbox. Admin scopes may be required depending on your Google Workspace settings.

  • OAuth Consent Screen & Token Expiry: Check if OAuth access was granted and not expired. You may need to remove and re-add the connector.

  • Workspace Configuration: Verify that the Gmail connector is enabled in the Rovo admin panel and that the correct site is selected.

  • Browser/Network Issues: Try connecting in a different browser or incognito mode to rule out caching or cookie issues. Also confirm network access isn’t restricted by firewall or proxy settings.

  • Agent Visibility Conflicts: If the Gmail connector is being used by an agent, make sure the agent is properly configured and shared to the right workspace.
