Hi there,
how can I make public documentation sites outside of Jira/Confluence available to Rovo agents as knowledge, for helping out our support and operations?
We tried the custom website connector to include our public docs and forum, but I am not sure where the crawled material shows up. According to the documentation it should "do a search crawl and index of your website to show in Rovo Search results and use in Rovo Chat and Agents", so I expected some additional entry in the "Knowledge" section of an agent -- but I don't see any.
Did anyone successfully set this up? Thank you for any hints and pointers!
Kind regards,
André
Hi,
I haven’t tried this myself yet, but here’s what I understand from what I have linked u: the Custom Website connector crawls and indexes your site so Rovo can use that content in Search, Chat, and Agents. It doesn’t show up as a separate “Knowledge” entry in the agent UI, the content is just added to the global knowledge graph.
Make sure:
After syncing, try searching for a unique phrase from your docs in Rovo Search. If it appears there, your agent can use it too.

Hope this helps 😊
I second everything @Christos Markoulatos provided.
We have custom websites connected and I cannot limit the Agents' knowledge to those websites. So I am assuming that is a limitation of the Web Connector which is unfortunate,
For things like Sharepoint you will get to choose which parts to reveal to an Agent.
