Rovo Dev Agent Code Reviewer Not Adding Comments

This issue is for Evora IT Solutions team. Bitbucket is linked to their Jira Cloud instance, and the Rovo Dev Agent (beta) is enabled. Although the Code Reviewer option is configured on the Bitbucket side, the Rovo Dev Agent doesn’t add any review comments to pull requests.

Could you please investigate and advise on next steps

Hi @Dr Valeri Colon _Connect Centric_

We need to assist the Evora IT Solutions team, who are experiencing issues with the Rovo Code Reviewer beta feature in Bitbucket. They've confirmed that:

  • All necessary integrations between Bitbucket and Jira are already in place.

  • The Rovo Dev Agents BETA app is installed and active.

  • Jira issue keys are correctly included in their pull request titles.

Despite this, they’re not seeing any comments from the Rovo agent on their pull requests .Hence we've raised this directly with the Rovo team via this post, and are requesting further review.

Hi @Suhas Sundararaju , should that not be raised internally within Atlassian rather than in this user Community? No harm in posting here, I'm just trying to get you to the help you need as quickly as possible.

Hi,

I am responsible from Evora side.
We had an internal issue and it was finally moved to the community based on Suhas decision. We provided all requested information and the setup was checked and confirmed upfront.

But still we have problems what RovoDev is doing and are currently questioning the results in general. We are fully aware that RovoDev is a beta service. Its not that we are expecting a final solution, but in order to improve RovoDev, we are participating in any discussions around it and want to make visible which expectations are not met.

A hint to our contact-us page is not required.
We are here and we are willing to help and give out any needed information to make this promising product helpful for all.

Regards
Sascha

Some more information:

  • RovoDev seems not to review every PR that the team is raising. (its about 5 per day). Its hard to find a PR that has been reviewed by RovoDev
  • when it reviewed a PR it seems its just adding one comment per PR (never seen two comment on one PR even if 100+ files are changed)
  • which PR is reviewed is not visible anywhere, you need to click through PRs and check the overview tab
  • the comment is not visible in the file list but only in the overview list (statement not 100% confirmed)
  • RovoDev comments currently only says things like: (I havent seen other comments yet so far)
    • rename variable "i" to something better
    • try to extract functionality X to an own function

Again. We know its a beta service.
Just listing my findings to help improving it.

@Sascha Liebau you said "a hint to our contact-us page is not required" do you work for Evora IT Solutions? You're showing up as working for Atlassian and you may better served posting the to the Rovo Cli Community https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Rovo-for-Software-Teams-Beta/gh-p/rovo-dev-ai-agents
