Hello Atlassian Support,
I am writing from Japan, and this message has been translated using a machine translation tool. Please excuse any unnatural expressions.
When setting up the latest version of SourceTree, the installation fails during the Git download step.
Based on the error message, it seems that the GitHub URL being referenced is incorrect.
I am running the 64-bit version on Windows, but the installer appears to be attempting to download a 32-bit package that does not exist.
Could you please verify this and update the installer to point to the correct Git download URL?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Hi @井上聡 san and welcome,
this is the correct link to download latest sourcetree version for windows https://product-downloads.atlassian.com/software/sourcetree/windows/ga/SourceTreeSetup-3.4.25.exe
Based on the image it seems that you are trying to download Portable Git.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Hi Fabio, thank you for your reply.
I have already downloaded the 3.4.25 installer from the link you shared, and I can run it without problems.
However, the issue happens **during the installation process itself**.
When the installer tries to download Git automatically, it fails because it references what seems to be an incorrect GitHub URL.
From the error message, it looks like it is trying to fetch a 32-bit Git package, but my environment is 64-bit Windows.
So the problem is not downloading the SourceTree installer, but the Git download step *inside* the installer.
Does anyone know if this is a bug in the 3.4.25 installer, or if there is a workaround?
