In SourceTree, I clone a repository that has a submodule. I unselect the "Recurse Submodules" option. This works fine, and the submodule is not downloaded.
But the first time I checkout another branch, SourceTree does a clone and checkout on the submodule. This I do not want.
It does this even if I have turned off Options/Git/"Check submodules before commit & push"
Is there any way to keep it from doing a clone and checkout on the submodules?
Hi
Unfortunately in SourceTree for Windows the "Recurse Submodules" option is only applied to explicit clone operations, not to a checkout which triggers the clone you are witnessing.
