Back to master is impossible

I changed the branch and now i want to go back to the master. But this seems to be impossible. What can i do in such a situation. I tried with pulling and pushing, but it takes no effect.

How can I handle such a situation?

I'm going to just assume this is for a git repository in SourceTree, and not a mercurial repository in SourceTree or some JIRA plugin that manages a repository.

To switch your working copy from one branch or commit to another, you're looking for the Checkout command.
