Possible solutions are:

  • Update GIT-version (if using System Git in SourceTree)
  • switch to Embedded GIT Version in SourceTree (or update if already using it)

Hi Thomas, if you're using Bitbucket Server, you can ask your admin to clear your captcha as explained at How to configure captcha in Bitbucket Server.

If you're still getting this error, please send us a screenshot and answer the following:

  1. Are you using Bitbucket Server or Cloud?
  2. When you log in to Bitbucket using the browser, do you get any error?
  3. Are you using Sourcetree for Windows or Mac?
  4.  In Sourcetree, do you get this error during any specific operation?

Cheers,

Ana
