error: Unable to create '/Volumes/Data2/Company//Project/Office/Git/Office/.git/HEAD.lock': Too many open files in system

What i do?

Try an lsof to see if you can identify what process is opening and holding open too many files on the machine. (It may be Sourcetree, I'm not trying to shift the blame!)

Have you tried switching to embedded git in SourceTree preferences and see if it helps?
