I am on a Windows 10 machine. I am using version 3.1.3 of Sourcetree. I am getting this error when I try to "Finish Feature".
I have completed this task many times in the past, but this is the second time since moving to this release that I have had this problem. Last time I manually merged my feature into the "develop" branch.
I have tried to change my account settings by going to Tools>Options, Authentication tab. I see my account, expand it, then click "edit" so I can make changes. I am prompted for a password. I enter my password, and my account collapses and nothing else. Is there a way to reset my password?
I ended up updating my version of the Credential Manager from 1.12.0 to 1.19.9. Now all is good.

Had a similar problem merging LFT branches with otherwise functional oauth and giving a "could not read Password for" error. Updating/installing this immediately fixed this - thanks.

Hello! I see that you're using basic authentication for login (ie: username and password). Could you try removing that account, and then re-add the account using OAuth as the authentication method? It tends to be a bit more reliable.
