I know SourceTree sometime is very slow when committing a large file, but in the last few days I can not run SourceTree due to it doesn't respond. I checked Task Manger and see it consumed so many Ram. This make me very frustrated because I can't commit my works

I'm using Windows 10 and SourceTree version 1.6.22. What can I do to fix that?
I found the solution here: Sourcetree 2.x memory hog? - Ben Williams's solution
It seems that, somehow maybe cause of an accident, SourceTree recognizes Windows user directory (C:\Users\[YourName]) as a repository, and ST scans it. It makes ST consume resources forever.
Remove the repository will resolve the problem:
Delete the .git folder (it may be hidden - File Explorer/View tab/Check Hidden items) in the user directory.
Thank you very much! That was so weird when I was seeing a new project tab with the name of the windows user.

Found a fix:
Uninstal Sourcetree with Add/remove programs.
After that go to C:\Users\YourUser\AppData and search for Sourcetree. Delete it all, reinstall it and it will work like a charm...Until you shutdown your PC.

I had the same issue on v2.0.20.1.
There seems to be a memory leak, SourceTree was using over 30GB of RAM for a large repository.
I've reverted to 1.10.23.1 and that fixed the problem.
