This isn't something we're aware of. Is this for the Windows version? If you can stage them then this means they're in the file system. Does it happen every single time you add a file to your working directory?

Yes, every time I add a .png file to working directory.
In Finder I don't see them (but have "view hidden files and folders" turned on).
Workaround: .gitignore => ._* However, a bit strange though...

The best way would be to use "ls -a" on the directory in question within the terminal rather than relying on the Finder
