Source tree suddently failing to authenticate with github

Early this afternoon 2/22/2018 source tree started failing to authenticate with git hub. I can authenticate via the terminal and via the website but when I try to issue a pull from source tree it prompts for login and re-prompts again and again after valid credentials are provided.

Finally it fails with errors indicating it can't authenticate.

I am running source tree 2.4.8.0 on Windows 10 professional.

Error message:

remote: Invalid username or password
fatal: Authentication failed for
