The domain has no relation with the putty author and may be insecure.

@mx03  Nice suggestion, although putty.org redirect you to 'chiark.greenend.org.uk' for download. I use putty.org, because it is easier to remember :-)

putty.org has now employed the popularity of the software to spread anti-vax conspiracy content. To be safe, it's better to not rely on search engines or unaffiliated sites and use the official project page.
