I chose the option to update Sourcetree, downloaded, and ran the install.
Now when I try to start (the new) Sourcetree I am redirected to the Atlassian website for licensing. The instructions on the website tell me to update the license from within Sourcetree. But when I try to get into Sourcetree, I get redirected to the website ... which tells me to update the license from within sourcetree ... but when I try to get into sourcetree, I get redirected to the website ... which tells me to update the license from within sourcetree ... but when I try to get into sourcetree, I get redirected to the website ... which tells me to update the license from within sourcetree ...
AND SO ON.
I am having the same problem. I am not getting redirected and SourceTree does not open. Did anybody find a resolution for this?
Similar happened to me but I don't get redirected and SourceTree does not start. Using the latest version 1.8.3.

What version of SourceTree are you installing? They implemented some fixes around this authentication in 1.8.2.1 and 1.8.2.2.
