Reliance on an active BitBucket/Atlassian account

As part of the SourceTree install, it requires logging into my Atlassian account to complete the registration.

 

What happens to SourceTree if my Atlassian account were to be deleted or deactivated?  Will it continue to function?  Will annoying popups show within the app?  Will it complete cease to function?
