SourceTree freezes at startup

I have seen it already posted with no solution so I will post it again. When I start the application, every single time it freezes after a few seconds. If I click pull, the progress bar freezes, for instance. Everything becomes unresponsive, you cannot click anywhere. However, after a few seconds it all goes back to normal. Seems like the main thread is doing a blocking operation instead of delegating to worker threads for processing.

 

My source tree is the latest one today: 3.4.24.0. I am on this windows edition:

The problem occurs to all of my peers, I am amazed that you haven't noticed yet. It is the most frustating thing ever. We are considering getting away from Atlassian just for this single bug.

Definitelly not the best user experience...

Have you tried reaching out to Atlassian Support team? Their staff usually tries to replicate reported issues multiple times and if they manage to do so, the support agent can escalate this to the dev team.

If reaching support there is not possible, I could try to reach out to Community Support to take a look at this as well 👀

Still, it would be good to chat with the Support team so they can confirm the behavior as well, and then they can link the bug you've created with some internal development items if they have any; or simply add additional internal notes for the dev team.
