I am running SourceTree 2.0.4 on Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10). The embedded Git 2.2.1 is active, nevertheless the Add Subtree command fails with:
git: 'subtree' is not a git command. See 'git --help'.
The help mentions possible problems only with system git and the linked resource http://engineeredweb.com/blog/how-to-install-git-subtree/ does not fit my system. I neither installed Git from homebrew nor with the official installer. I guess my git was installed as part of the Xcode developer tools.
Nevertheless I am looking for a way to get Subtree working inside SourceTree with the embedded git Version. How can I do this?
This happened to me as well, immediately after updating from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 where the release notes indicate updating to a new version of embedded git.
