Unable to authenticate to BitBucket repository

Abir Stolov December 31, 2018

I'm able to log-in to the bitbucket.org portal

and use the credentials on the options->authentication

But on repository operations it doesn't accept those credentials.

Am I missing something here?

Hi!

Have you checked access for the repo from bitbucket UI?

It will be good if you provide more detail info, like logs

Cheers,

Not sure what do you mean by bitbucket UI.

On SourceTree->Edit Hosting Account -> Refresh Password

I get Authentication OK

On git Command line Push to bitbucket , it requests the password and accepts it.

On SourceTree Push to bitbucket It get

git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false --no-optional-locks -c credential.helper= -c credential.helper="C:/Users/Abir/AppData/Local/ATLASS~1/SOURCE~1/GIT_EX~1/GIT-CR~2.EXE" push -v --tags origin master:master
fatal: HttpRequestException encountered.
An error occurred while sending the request.

remote: Invalid username or password
fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://abirstolov@bitbucket.org/vaica/deviceapi.git/'

Pushing to https://abirstolov@bitbucket.org/vaica/deviceapi.git
Completed with errors, see above.
