On one computer SourceTree updates to version 2.5.5.0. On another it is at 2.4.8.0. On 2.4.8.0 when I go to Tools->Options->Updates and click Check For Updates, it appears to check but does not update to 2.5.5.0, which is obviously available. Is there some service I can restart to allow the update? Or something else I can do to get 2.5.5.0 without completely uninstalling it and reinstalling? Both computers at Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1 with all of the latest Windows Updates installed.
2.5.5.0 is still being rolled out, Sourcetree moved to staged updates about 2 years ago, have a look at this blog post about it.
