what minimum permissions do i need for app password

so i've gotten around the glitch with app passwords yesterday (and to update/delete/re-enter password) but it didn't work with just the "repository" and "pull" permissions. So I made a new app password with literally every permission, and that worked. But can somebody confirm what I actually need for a git repository in sourcetree?  I assume not great practice to give every permission, but I can't find searching the docs what I actually need. I would have thought repositories was enough.
