Having both public and private pages

I would like to have 2 status pages one internal and another public. Is this possible to do this?

Yes it is possible to create an Internal Statuspage - Private Statuspage and another page is available to the public - Public Statuspage

You can create a trial page as per your requirement and test it accordingly. You can follow the documentation https://support.atlassian.com/statuspage/docs/add-a-new-status-page/ to understand the different page types and how to create a test page.
