Hi everyone,
I’m currently using Statuspage to communicate with our customers during incidents, and I’m wondering if anyone has found a good way to automate incident updates. Right now, we manually post updates, but I’m looking for a more efficient solution that could help us keep our users informed without requiring constant manual input.
Are there any tools or integrations within Statuspage that can automate these updates based on certain triggers? I’d love to hear how others are using the platform to streamline their incident response process.
Also I am a Concrete Contractor and you can check out my website here: https://www.concretecontractorsannarbormichigan.com/
Looking forward to any suggestions!
Hey Michael,
Thanks for your question — you're definitely not alone in looking to reduce the manual work involved in updating incidents on Statuspage.
Atlassian doesn't currently offer fully automatic incident updates directly within Statuspage, but you can streamline the process significantly by using Opsgenie, which integrates natively with Statuspage. Opsgenie acts as a bridge between your monitoring tools and Statuspage, allowing you to trigger and update incidents based on alert conditions.
With the Opsgenie + Statuspage integration, you can configure alert rules so that when a certain alert is received (for example, from Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, etc.), Opsgenie can automatically create a Statuspage incident, update component statuses, and even resolve the incident when the alert is closed. You have full control over what triggers incident creation, thanks to alert filtering and tagging capabilities.
Alternatively, if you're using internal tools or want a more tailored solution, you can leverage the Statuspage REST APIto automate incident creation, updates, and resolution. This can be integrated into your internal health checks or deployment workflows.

I hope this helps!
