I followed the instructions available to import the list of users via CSV to Statuspage.  I receive no error message indicating that the upload failed, but my user count remains the same.  What am I doing wrong?

Unfortunately I do not have access to upload via API so any help would be appreciated.

Ken

Update:  I've tried a variety of changes to the CSV and I keep getting the below output email:

Hey Kenneth, great news! Your import is complete. Here's a breakdown of what happened:

  • 186 subscriber rows were detected in your .csv
  • 0 were successfully imported
  • 1 were either duplicates within your file or were already subscribers
  • 0 were existing records that were successfully updated
  • 185 rows had problems
  • 0 rows had invalid skip confirmation notification value for email subscribers

Hi and Welcome,

based on the documentation provided by Atlassian for importing subscribers via CSV Import subscribers via CSV | Statuspage | Atlassian Support to Statuspage, here are some  troubleshooting steps and considerations to help you resolve the issue.

The scren that you send tells you that 185 Rows are have error and 1 is duplicated, This tells you that there is something is wrong . Sounds like the csv ist not correct . Have you used the template ?

Each subscriber type has other requirements, so ists not easy to make a general statement

Make sure your CSV file is saved in UTF-8 encoding. This is crucial for ensuring that the file is read correctly by Statuspage.

If you are trying to import users who are already subscribed, Statuspage will not add them again, but should be update the record iv not the same.

To isolate the issue, create a simple CSV file with just one or two users.

Hopefully you will find the issue.

Kai,

I appreciate the reply.

I used the template provided by Statuspage.  Without changing much from the template (I removed the non-email examples), the 3 uploads worked.  Applying the same logic to my list of users fails for every one.  I will try again changing the file to be a utf-8 file and try again.
