How to add a new API to the Component

How to monitor an internal API? I cannot figure out an option to add a monitoring URL or endpoint to the application

Thanks for reaching out to Statuspage community. Statuspage is meant to be a communication service and not a monitoring service. 

If you want to communicate and display your API uptime, you can use a third party monitoring service like Datadog or Newrelic and pipe that information in using our Metrics feature.
