Would it be possible to translate status messages (status.description)?

We have a small indicator on our website that shows the current status by using teh followinG script:

var sp = new StatusPage.page({ page : "abcdefgh123" });
sp.summary({
success : function(data) {
var status = data.status.indicator;
var title = data.status.description;
$( ".indicator" ).attr("title", title);
$(".indicatorIcon").addClass(status);
$( ".statusText" ).append(title);
}
});
});

Would it somehow be possible to translate the status.description?
