Is there any way to trigger the components using slack channel?
I want to trigger the components or create incidents without go to the statuspage directly.
I use datadog for system metrics and slack integration.
thanks,
Max
Hi @maximiliano !
The current Slack integrations directly from Statuspage only support notifications; that is - they don't update Statuspage from within Slack right now.
A previous discussion on the Community here mentions a third-party tool while talking about the functions of the current Slack integration. That third-party integration seems to be offline now, but I've located some others that seem to fill the same purpose. Do note, all these integrations have a combination of free/paid plans behind them:
If you prefer to stick with Atlassian-only integrations, it's worth noting that the OpsGenie app for Slack enables bi-directional communication with OpsGenie. You could create an OpsGenie alert directly in Slack, which can immediately ping/text/call the appropriate engineer. As part of the OpsGenie actions, you can have Opsgenie automatically update Statuspage (for example, when the OpsGenie alert is acknowledged by whoever is on-call). Depending on your team size, the possibility of having on-call schedules with this setup can help ensure people actually disconnect on their vacations! OpsGenie comes bundled if you have a Jira Work Management subscription already, or can be used as a standalone service for incident management.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support

Max

Yes it does! The OpsGenie <-> Statuspage integration can be added from the OpsGenie team dashboard if you're using Opsgenie's Free or Essentials plans. The Slack <-> OpsGenie integration is included at all tiers, as listed in the ChatOps Integration section on the OpsGenie pricing page. Note that there's a second ChatOps for Incident Management feature on the paid plans - this feature is for spinning up a whole Slack channel around specific incidents - and it's not strictly what you need for the case you've outlined. The free tier will get you going!
