Can JIRA service management be integrated with status page in such a way that incidents created in JIRA SM are published or announced in status page?

Hi Amr,

Yes, it is indeed possible to integrate Jira Service Management (JSM) with Statuspage to enhance incident communication and reduce redundant support tickets.

Integration Overview

By integrating JSM with Statuspage, you can:

  • Display real-time incident and maintenance updates on your JSM customer portal.
  • Link JSM incidents to Statuspage incidents, allowing updates from JSM to reflect on your Statuspage.
  • Automate incident creation and updates between JSM and Statuspage, ensuring consistent communication across platforms.

Setup Steps

  1. Install the Statuspage for Jira Service Management app:
In JSM, go to Apps > Find new apps, search for "Statuspage", and install it.
  2. Configure the integration:
After installation, select Configure, choose the JSM project to link, and enter your Statuspage Page ID and API key (available in your Statuspage account settings).
  3. Link incidents:
In JSM, when viewing an incident, you’ll see a Statuspage section to link the issue to an existing Statuspage incident or create a new one. Any updates made in JSM will be reflected on the Statuspage automatically.

For full setup details, you can refer to Atlassian’s official documentation:
