For new users, we would like to get advices to connect and use Jira software and Confluence.

Which are the better strategies to define, develop, implement, test, and deliver with these tools ?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I think that's a much bigger thing than just a couple of Atlassian tools.

I would adopt an Agile approach, working closely with your customers.  You should find and deliver their priorities, and Agile is aimed at getting that done quickly.

On the development side, form small dedicated and Agile teams, running in Kanban or Scrum-like ways, which is what Jira Software is for, but think about if you might need a support team as well (Jira service management).

If you have a wide user-base, consider using Jira Product Discovery to ask them what they need and want.  Document stuff in Confluence - end user documentation, gnarly code problems, meetings, requirement docs, Confluence is good for all of that.

And for code, most people use git as a code repository now.  Bitbucket is an excellent git management system and enables Continuous Integration as well, so that's where you should keep your code, and do most of your implementation and testing.

Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence all talk to each other with a minimum fuss, so I'd suggest adopting all of them together.

Hi @patricia 😁

Between www.atlassian.com and www.support.atlassian.com, you can find a bunch of info about using specific products together, like https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-jira-cloud-with-confluence/.

But if you are looking for a bigger picture that focuses on tools for software development teams, you might find content like https://www.atlassian.com/devops compelling.
