Drowning in Meetings too?

Drowning In Meetings Too (8).png

That “drowning in meetings” feeling? You’re not alone.

A while back, I shared something an engineer posted on Reddit:

“Since switching to Scrum, my entire days are nothing but meetings.”

It stuck with me.

More meetings ≠ more alignment. More meetings ≠ more productivity.

We've created a culture where being in meetings feels like being productive, but it's actually the opposite.

When meetings pile up so much that they get in the way of actual work, the impact is bigger than we think:
→ Constant context switching drains energy
→ Meeting fatigue kills engagement
→ Burnout creeps in, fast

The solution isn't better meeting tools — it's questioning whether we need the meeting at all.

Before scheduling that next sync, ask yourself:
→ Could this be an async update?
→ Does everyone really need to be there?
→ What specific outcome are we trying to achieve?

The future of work isn't about having more meetings. It's about having the right conversations at the right time, with the right people.

Who else can relate to this?
