What are some variations to running the Elevator Pitch?

Just spitballing: you can try everyone filling in the Elevator Pitch template at the same time and then compare each blank section at a time. Or, maybe you don't even use the template. Maybe everyone writes their own elevator pitches and everyone compares full pitches against other full pitches. Having discussions about what people like sometimes leads to agreeing on a base or piece of a pitch and then brainstorming the other parts of it. Oftentimes there will be similar suggestions, and in those cases, you can group similar pitches so the team can pick a direction before even getting to the wordsmithing phase.
