Want to learn scrum basics, then get credentialed for free?

Build agile skills with Atlassian, Accenture, & Scrum Inc. — then earn a free credential proving you know your stuff. 😎

We’re excited to launch a new learning path, developed in collaboration with Accenture and Atlassian, called Registered Scrum Basics™. This path empowers you to manage work more effectively using proven agile values, principles, and tools and to discover the foundations of scrum and agile from the organization founded by Dr. Jeff Sutherland, the father of scrum. 🤩

Think scrum might not apply to you because you’re not a developer? Think again! This learning path is intentionally inclusive of all knowledge work professions, so that all team members can work more efficiently, deliver faster results, develop a stronger agile mindset, and earn Scrum Inc.® credentials — no tech background needed, just a drive to improve.

Read more about who this path is for, what you might learn, and how to earn your free credential:

👩🏽‍💻🧑🏻‍💻 Who can enroll in this learning path?

  • Any professional new to agile and scrum who wants a structured, accessible introduction

  • Team members across functions—including product, marketing, operations, design, and education—who are part of or adjacent to agile teams

  • People participating in digital transformation or agile initiatives who need a common foundation in agile thinking

  • Anyone seeking to validate their knowledge of agile values, scrum practices, and team collaboration tools

🤔 What will I learn?

By completing this path, users will learn about:

  • The origins of scrum and how its framework, values, and artifacts can help your team collaborate and deliver

  • The different accountabilities on a scrum team and how each contributes towards delivering a working product

  • How to move your team from development to delivery through a series of scrum events

  • How to improve your team's effectiveness by sharpening your team’s ways of working and increasing team efficiency

Did you know? More than 60% of Registered Scrum Professionals™ are outside of software development, with many applying scrum in cross-functional, operational, or customer-focused teams.

How earning the credential works:

Thought leaders at Scrum Inc.®, Accenture, and Atlassian co-authored these courses/this curriculum. Once you've completed all courses in the learning path, you’ll be able to earn your free credential through ScrumLab.

Enroll in the Registered Scrum Basics™ learning path and get credentialed by Scrum Inc.®🎓

We love hearing from you: If you're planning on taking this course, let us know in the comments 1.) what your role is at your company and 2.) if your team currently works in scrum! 🗣️

Just finished the course, earned the credential, and really enjoyed it! 🎉

Even though I’ve worked as both a Scrum Master and Product Owner in the past, this was a great refresher on the Agile Manifesto and Scrum framework basics.

Now that I’ve transitioned into an Atlassian Service team lead role, I still find myself applying these practices regularly. The course was clearly structured, packed with useful info, and a perfect way to brush up - whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience. Highly recommend! 🙌

I'm so excited for this course and will share feedback!

My role is a Technology Business Systems Analyst. I also play the role of a Scrum Lead and PO at times. I am looking forward to this learning and adding it to my toolbox.
