First of all, I love this Beta update. The three panes of Inbox, Calendar and Board view is a dream. Next, I would love to be able to use my Google Calendar more natively within Trello. Let's say I add a card to my inbox, drag it over to my schedule for tomorrow but I want to send an invite to a team member to meet to work on/complete that card/event. I can't really edit any calendar events from Trello and I would love if I could. Then I wouldn't have to leave Trello, open a Chrome tab, navigate to the right Google Account, Click Calendar and then modify events or create a separate event to schedule a meeting there that overlaps with the card event that was created from Trello.
Again, love the update. Thanks!
@Joshua Lombardo-Bottema I agree - the planner really doesn't work for me though.
Have you looked into planyway? - It integrates with Trello very well, has a two-way interface between Trello and Google Calendar - is much quicker to update (than Trello's native calendar links) - and (because of that two-way integration) it means you can edit a task in trello/planyway/Calendar (at whatever access point that might be (i.e. phone, laptop, tablet etc) and it will appear in trello/planyway/calendar on which ever platform - and vice versa.
I have it setup so that my agenda automatically appears on my android phone when it's docked to my wireless charger, the agenda is part of a third party app (called "standby) that integrates with google calendar - Meaning any changes made in Trello > gets picked up by planaway > which migrates to google calendar > which is then displayed on my phone agenda whenever it is in a charging dock - ideal for my desk, or in my van - (equally with any calendar widgets you use)
Best of all, I can click on whatever agenda task, edit it (in Google Calendar), change the date etc, and it reflects back in trello, planyway... and my daily agenda.
It's pretty seamless - it's not perfect, but it is a great use (and example) of how integrated digital service can create essential workflows.
Thank you for this tip! Going to try it right now, hoping it works in Mac/IOS environment too..

I 100% agree! I love the ability to see my Inbox and Planner side-by-side with my board. If I could really work with my Google Calendar there, not only see it, it would a homerun!!!
