Not to be able to reorder labels has been an issue for years.
It would be great if you could finally implement this function in the new Version of Trello. It is a missing key feature and absolutely essential in my opinion.
Also not entirely sure what reorder might do specifically; I recall this setting where you can have 'frequently (or was it recently?) used' appear at the top but even now I can't tell if that's on or where it's at.
I now also notice they're not alphabetical. Are they ordered by creation date? I just start to type out the label and select the autofill I need.
In our case however, reordering would just be the beginning. I can see how 'sticky labels' might be nice, or favourites...
We have boards with a ton of labels and the hover column is tiny (showing only eight labels) and I have to keep clicking "show more labels" to even get to the ones that are colourless. Thankfully I created these over the years and kinda know which ones I have in there.
I'm interested in this because labels do remain a headache, and I see no way to manage them. "How many are there on this board, are there duplicates or near-duplicates, which ones have become unnecessary over the course of a decade, do I have typos in any of them?" etc.
Let's see what reorder might do and where this leads us. Thanks for bringing this up
Hi Victor, thank you for your answer. I mean the possibility to just drag and drop the Labels in the selection list up and down and not to be forced to use the actual prebuilt color-sorting.
@Nils Geylen this is how it works atm (see screenshot)
