Seeking help with Timeline/Table view

Hi!

I'm trying to locate the Timeline view or Table view in the New Trello interface  (https://trello.com/views/table).

Does anyone know how to access these views?

Thanks :)

I'm looking for the same thing! There is a table view for each board, but I can't find the one where you can combine cards from multiple boards into one table.

@Gianito

I'm not sure about timeline, I think the planner view may have replaced it. (EDIT: I see it's in the same place as I explain below) - I find Trello's calendar integration a bit limited, I'm not a fan so don't use it. (I use planyway for this instead as it's much more flexible and has almost instant 2-way connectivity between Trello and any calendars you care to connect to it - regardless of where you are, Google calendar, Mac Calendar, on phone, on computer, you can make edits to the calendar appointment and it will reflect more or immediately in Trello, (and vice versa) - using Planyway as a conduit)

As for tables (EDIT: and Calendar/Schedule), they are still available but a bit hidden.

If you;

1. Go to the place where you select your boards, (shortcut 'b')

2. Click on the specific workspace

3. scroll down

4. Workspace views are then visible.

5. Expand the tab, and there you will find what you're looking for. 👍

@PJRanson

I appreciate the Planyway suggestion, but it's a shame to need third-party paid solutions when Trello already has workspace views.

These views are why I pay for Premium - they let me visualize due dates and deadlines across multiple boards in one snapshot and help me eliminate the risk of tasks falling through the cracks. Trello made a big deal about these features when they launched them (https://trello.com/views/workspace).

Thanks for showing me how to find them in the beta. Since it's still in testing, hopefully they'll make these premium features easier to find in future updates.

  1. Open board switcher: click leftmost icon in the navigation bar at the botom-center of your screen), or just use "b" keyboard shortcut.
  2. See a list of your workspaces - underneath a search bar. Click a desired workspace.
  3. You will see 2 sections below: boards in this workspace, and workspace views (table, timeline, etc.)

@Victor Dronov

Thank you for your feedback!

I just find that these features are less accessible in the new interface.

It's unfortunate that workspace views can't be found via search, whereas before they were even easier to find than the boards themselves.

These views are the main reason for my Premium subscription because I need to quickly access my assigned Trello cards chronologically, regardless of which board they're on.

If you know a shortcut for this type of access on desktop, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks again for your help!

@Victor Dronov - I have to agree with @Gianito

As a UX it's a little awkward to access the workspace views in the Beta.

They really do need to be exposed a little more to the end user, especially those of us who are using them to aggregate cards across multiple boards, appreciate it's a work in progress though.

@Gianito - re: planyway, I mainly use it as a means to manipulate cards/tasks from my cellphone and have it reflect more or less immediately on the Trello board - the calendar share function from Trello (to expose cards to a google calendar (for example)) is far too slow, if it ever worked at all - my experience with it wasn't great anyway and planyway was the key to solving that particular issue for me... I have a variety of calendar widgets on my phone homepage, so it was critical for me to be able to see tasks in my calendar in more or less real-time.
