I've been using Trello for task management for a couple of years as an individual user. I have a "home base" board and then a separate board for each project. On the home base board I've had an "inbox" list that I email to or use to jot down tasks as they come up during the day, exactly what the new Inbox allows. I have been trying to coordinate deadlines and workflow with my outlook calendar using powerups, but the new format is just what I've been hoping for: a way to do time-blocking with my Trello cards, and one place to go at any point in the day to see what task I intended to be doing at that time and what's coming up, that ALSO has immediate access to the scheduled task's context and checklists and documents and links.
Unfortunately I use Outlook as my primary calendar (it's what my employer uses for group calendars and so on), sharing personal google Calendars to Outlook in order to see all my appointments at once. Because for now only gCal is supported in the new Trello, I tried switching around so that gCal would be primary and show my outlook calendars. It works in gCal but the outlook calendars subscribed to in gCal are not viewable in the Trello Planner.
Can you think of any way with the current set up to make the events from Outlook calendars (which i can see in my google calendar) appear in the Trello Planner?
Great tip, @Kelly Gabel ! (and native Outlook support is definitely on our mind too)
Whilst I don't use Outlook, a lot of my clients do. With the view that Trello is going to simplify/centralise capture of what we have to do, Outlook support should be included not just as an idea but as an essential part of the roadmap
