Add an option to revert to previous UI

I searched through all comments in this discussion and maybe feedback from users are not being considered. If you search in google trends for "trello alternatives" in past 30 days there are a clear increase and people might not fit Jira usability or plans (which was the suggestion move).

We really liked old Trello and don't want to move to another product but this new UI is just not better than the past, can we get an option to revert it, please?

Hi @Gabriel Barbosa

I am sure the Atlassian team is monitoring the Community closely, but you could also provide feedback via Support to ensure visibility.

I get you 100% and I've been very vocal feedbacking in the final weeks before the rollout of the new design/UI.

An optional "shadow UI" does not sound like it's in Atlassian's timeline though, and I don't think it would even be feasible. Just imagine the maintenance that would take for bug fixes, compatibility, browser support etc.

I have to admit that look-and-feel-wise, I'm not as shocked anymore. I've had the same experience with each overhaul over the years, and to be fair, Trello has massively matured.

I can't even think how many features I've come to depend on today that weren't there before.

That said (before I turn into some apologist) I still have serious issues with a lot of the latest interface decisions and subsequent UX decline.

And "opt-in" has largely gone out the window. So yes: if we don't use Inbox or Planner or non-elective "Complete checks" on every card, as (paying) users we ought to be able to dock/collapse/hide those features as a setting.

Finally, some major basics have not gotten any attention in years: collections, search, views... That irks me immensely.

So I do think anyone here who has solid criticisms should keep posting, submitting tickets and pushing requests.

Atlassian should continue working on refinements and revisions and if we keep at it, they might even double down silently on at least a couple of their fundamental mistakes errors-of-judgement.

PS: Our org too, we don't want to go, and we can't realistically even consider that now, but over time, who knows.
