Adding a TOC (indexing Lists in List #1)

Hi guys.  I'm using 1 board to research a topic that has too many subtopics.  I'm creating a list for every subtopic, and putting cards (information) in each list/subtopic.  The board has grown a lot, so I find myself scrolling a lot to the right in order to find lists (subtopics) to add information to.  Scrolling to the right (while searching for subtopics) is now taking too long.

Is there any way to add an INDEX list as the first list, and have that automatically add a card there every time a new list is created (and whenever a list is moved right or left)?  Hoping that when that new card is clicked, it automatically scrolls to the right so I can start adding to that list right away.

That's what I envision as a solution.  Please let me know of any ideas and/or alternatives.  Pretty new to Trello, but loving it so far.

Hi Hussam,

Very glad to hear you are loving Trello so far! As for your problem, that's definitely an interesting one. I can't say there's an easy solution. I don't believe there's a way for a card to scroll you to a certain list.

My suggestion is that you can use multiple boards. Perhaps not one for each subtopic, but maybe group your subtopics in some way (alphabetically, for example). Then you can have a "master board" that can act as your index. It will have cards with links to your other boards with their subtopics.

Unfortunately, the downside is that now you will have multiple boards to manage instead of just one. 

Another suggestion I have to help you find the correct list and scroll less is to take advantage of card search on boards. If you create a card with the same name as the list, you can search for that name in the card search. This will hide all other cards except for the card with that name, making the correct list stick out and easier to find.

If you find a different solution that works for you, please let me know! I'm sure you're not the only person with this problem.
