I opened TRELLO on my iPad and all of my starred boards are gone.
There are also the new Workspaces but it appears to have saved all of my boards with the least amount of data.
I did a search for a couple of the boards and when I choose reopen, all of the cards are gone! I have a lot of important data in those boards!

So sorry to hear that this happened to you.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to offer a solution to recover the data you've lost, but I can recommend an app that will prevent something like this from ever happening again.
Rewind Backups for Trello is an automated backup and recovery app built for Trello users like you. If you were to experience something like this again, you could use our app to go back in time and restore your boards back to a time when everything worked perfectly (even if they were totally deleted).

Trello would not have deleted any data.

My recommendation is first to log on to Trello via a web browser not the mobile app - just to make sure you can see everything.
Then I suspect that you had more than 10 boards in a free workspace so the least active boards were closed (I don’t think whether a board was starred or not counts as activity). Note they were not deleted and no cards would have been removed.
You have a few options:
1. Make new free workspaces. Move some boards there. Reopen your closed boards.
2. close some boards in your current workspace. Open the closed boards you want.
3. upgrade your workspace to business class.
Gold will be replaced by a new pricing tier called Standard in a few weeks. At the moment, we haven’t yet migrated Gold users to new workspaces (that will happen in a few weeks) but it looks like at the time of migration you were actually a free user and then redeemed some Gold credits after migration. All other Trello users have been migrated over to workspaces and in a few weeks all Trello boards will belong to a workspace.

I can’t open a board if it’s just gone….I have searched and nothing is found!
it is all of my starred boards that are missing! Why would trello delete my starred boards and not the older boards?
if I pay for the business upgrade will they come back?
I am pretty upset with trello right now. I am also a gold member until August of 2022.

So, the missing ones were starred boards and these were not closed. Is that right?
