Alternative to Butler for automations ?

Manù Colombani December 20, 2022

Hello once again,

Would like to replace Butler with a more efficient solution, knowing that I everyday encounter problems with it : "Butler could not run your rule..."

I heard that Zapier also can do these automation rules, before changing everything I'd like to make sure that one works.

Thank you for your precious help.

If Butler can't run something, there's a reason, and it's going to stop other things running it as well.

You need to look at why Butler can't do it, not replace Butler with something that will fail in the same way.

@Manù Colombani

Butler handles the majority of the use cases and you work towards supplementing it for exceptional cases. The messages you receive is indicative that the conditionals set be the commandants had failed so you should check why is it the case. If you automate the same with Zapier, Zapier will fail as well.
