Hi,
Sorry for what is probably a pretty basic question. But we have an employee who has been the primary Trello admin and creator of most of the files that are on Trello. Due to some major performance issues, we are going to have to let the employee go.
We have already changed their Admin status on Trello. But what we don't understand is if all the files we see on Trello are actually stored on Trello, or are they just pointers on Trello to wherever that employee has the files (google drive, dropbox, one drive, etc.).
We are afraid that if the files are not actually on Trello that the employee will delete all the files at the locations where they have them stored.
Again, sorry for this basic question, but since the employee has been the Trello lead and expert, I'm afraid we are quite ignorant on some of the details about how Trello works.
Thanks!!
@Paul Coggeshall only if they're linked from Drive or Dropbox. If you drag files onto Trello, they're in S3, so the user can't delete them without access to Trello. If they're creating files in Drive or Dropbox and they're not using a paid (G-Suite/Dropbox Teams) account then you're not going to be able to take ownership of those files (lesson to folks watching at home: never hire people without paying for their cloud storage!)
