Looking for help figuring out an automation:
1. If a member is added to a checklist on a card
2. Then they are automatically added as a member on the card
Hi Rachael,
Currently, we do not have a way to setup an automation for what you are looking for, because we do have a feature to know when a member is added/assigned to a checklist.
If this helps, there is a feature request to have the ability for the user to use in a rule, a Trigger "when member is assigned to a checklist item..." — if there's any additional info or use case that you want to share as to why this feature is important, let me know and I'll pass your information to the relevant team.
If you are curious about how our team decides which requests we work on, we have published a blog post with detailed information on this process here: https://blog.trello.com/feature-requests-unite-support-and-product
Hope this helps but do let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Mutya! The reason we want this is because in Kanban view if we want to filter by user, it doesn't filter at the checklist level. So it's not a useful view for a member to see only their tasks, and we'd really like for it to be. That means a lot of manual work on our end which usually means missing adding folks to cards.

Hi Rachael,
Thank you for the additional context! This helps paint a bigger picture on how useful this must be and how it saves a lot of manual work.
I've passed this information on to the relevant team. Even though this would not guarantee that such a feature would be built, this would help, especially if more users have asked for the same thing.
Let me know if you have any questions.
