I use Excel to manage my "master" task list, and only want to bring in TODAY'S tasks to Trello.
If I try to paste 3 lines of text into a Trello list, I get ONE card with all 3 lines combined.
Pasting multiple lines of text into a CHECKLIST does correctly what I wish pasting into a card did.
How can I get Trello to split my cards by line, when pasting?
@Cara yes it does this but only in the web/desktop interfaces. If you're trying to do this in the mobile app it won't split the cards.
The good news is that mobile web browsers will allow you to do this, so you can copy a link to the board you're editing from the app, open it in the browser, paste everything in and create multiple cards, then switch back to the mobile app to deal with them (because the mobile web version of trello isn't fully functional).
Thanks, @Iain Dooley , I actually did try this in the web interface and it didn't split. Maybe the browser makes a difference? I use Chrome at work, and that's where I tried it...

DISREGARD what I just posted (below). I hadn't yet pressed <enter>. I get prompted when I do that. Sorry!
Not sure what I did differently but, one time, I was pasting something (not another card description, but something I intended to be additional info, I think) into a card, and it did "ask" me if I meant for it to be another card or another line. However, when I take 3 lines from my Excel sheet and try to paste them into a new card description, it mostly just enters all 3 lines as one card description.
