Can cards be "combined"?

Dave Hochmuth August 7, 2019

Two members of the team I'm on have created cards (on different lists) on the same topic. I'd like to combine them into one card in one list and preserve all the existing comments from both cards in one place.

  • Is there a (hopefully simple) procedure to combine two cards and preserve all comments and content? If so, what is it?
  • If no such procedure exists, what are possible workarounds to try to make it as easy as possible to find all comments, attachments, etc that are currently split between two cards?
  • I know how to put a link to a comment from one card in a comment on another card, but then the day/time stamp of the parent comment governs the order in the list and the discussion is out of chronological order, not to mention only visible by following the link.

@Dave Hochmuth I generally just link to one card from the other when I need to do that

Thanks for your input. Not getting much response on this. so this may be the "best" workaround. Not ideal, but better than nothing I guess.

I agree the easiest way is to link the cards together. You can find a step by step tutorial here.
