Can someone point me to detailed feature documentation for standard and pro?

G.W. Swicord July 17, 2023

Hi, Trello world,

Trello Standard and Pro seats are expensive. I'm interested in technical documentation that hopefully includes use cases to learn about the additional features that come with with the Standard and Pro SKUs.

I am not at all interested in marketing material unless it is specifically written for a technical audience. I want to inform myself about the specific utility of features that are not available in the Free SKU so that I can decide whether or not to pitch an upgrade to my leadership.

We currently use Trello in combination with EverHour to track projects and staff time spent on them. I'm especially interested in whether 'custom fields' or another feature could provide a manageable UI for time-tracking 'sheets.' It might justify the cost of Standard if we could build something that would let us link out from a project card to detailed time-use data and analyze that data by person, project, and task.

Regards,
G.W. Swicord

Hi G.W!

Thank you for taking the time to share your use case with us. Trello does not offer natively a time tracking feature but different features within Trello can help achieve that, depending on what UI or workflow you'd like to expect in a Trello card for your time tracking needs.

From a quick overview, these are the features available according to plans: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/which-trello-plan-is-best-for-me

Features to note is Workspace Calendar view or the per board Calendar view. Let me know if you have any questions around any of the Standard or Premium features that will tie to your use case and I am happy to explain that more in detail.

Feel free to share more details of your use case or requirements. Additionally, you can create a ticket here if these details are not for public viewing.

With regards to introduction to custom fields:

Let me know if there's any questions you have!
