Card buttons IF/ELSE commands possible?

Domenic Curulli October 23, 2023

I have a list for each day of the week Mon-Sun.

I have an automated card button "kickoff event tomorrow" that when pressed, it kicks the card over to the next day of the week/next list to the right, by using the action "Move card to the next list on the board".

This has been working great for our workflow, until the card is in the list "Sunday".
As Sunday is on the far right of the board, when the button is pressed, it kicks the card over to a blank list on the right (which is the expected behavior).

What I'd really like to achieve, is Trello knowing "If this button is pressed on a card that is currently sitting in Sunday, instead of moving one list to the right, move it to the Monday list)."

Is there a way of Trello to follow IF/ELSE commands, for example:
- IF button is pressed whilst card is in Sunday list -> Move card to Monday
- ELSE move card to next list to the right

I do not want to create a separate button for this command, it would be great if the "Kickoff tomorrow" button worked across all situations.

Is this possible??

It is a bit of a "hack but this works"

- After Sunday make a list called "Next Week"

- Make an Rule with the following trigger

- Add The following Action

That way whenever card via the button is push from Sunday to "Next Week" the automation rule kick in and move it to Monday list

That works great, thankyou!
