Checklist item due dates in relation to Card Due Date

Is there a way to have it automatically add due dates to checklists based on the card due date.

For example, my project/card is due 3/1.

I use Butler card button to add existing checklists to the job based on what services we're doing.  Some of the the task have to be done 5 business days before the card's due date - so they have to be done no later than 2/22. Is there a way for butler to assign that due date or will we have to update each task manually?

Hi Heather,

I've been playing around with Butler for a bit today and there isn't a straight-forward way to do that.

I found an overly complicated way to achieve it, that you might want to take a look if it suits your needs:

The issue, however, is that it doesn't work with copied checklists. You would need to adjust your Butler rules to add the Checklists and the Items instead of copying them from existing cards. Then you would need to setup rules for each of the different items you have and adjust the arithmetic in the Custom Field on each rule.

In my opinion, maintaining this automation might give you more work to do than adjusting the due dates manually, but after a lot of testing I wanted to share what I found out.

If you do find a better solution, please share with us here too!

I appreciate it.

That does sound a little over complicated :)

Can this be added as a request to developers?
